16-year-old charged with committing 4 robberies along the Red Line
A 16-year-old boy is charged with committing four robberies on CTA trains and platforms earlier this year, police say. Chicago police arrested the boy yesterday in the 1100 block of South Hamilton, which is where the county’s juvenile justice center is located, suggesting he may have other matters pending.

4x felon committed 2 carjackings and robbed 2 migrants within 30 minutes, CPD report says
A four-time convicted felon is charged with committing two carjackings within 30 minutes on Saturday afternoon, first in Old Town and then outside the migrant shelter located across from the Salt Shed. Two migrants who were working on a car outside the shelter reported that Marcus Montgomery, 39, robbed them, too, but they later decided against filing charges, a Chicago police report said.

An off-duty FBI agent was among seven victims robbed during a string of holdups stretching from Noble Square to Humboldt Park on Monday evening. The area withered under nearly two years of relentless robber sprees until earlier this year. There are recent indications that the crews may be reconstituting.
