According to a community alert from the Chicago Police Department, the offender struck twice during the early afternoon hours of December 28, using physical force to take victims’ property after following them into enclosed areas.
The first robbery occurred at about 1:14 p.m. in the 8100 block of West Addison Street. Police said the offender followed the victim into a garage area and forcibly took her cell phone, Ventra card, and cash.
Then, at about 2:49 p.m., a second woman was targeted in the 3200 block of North Newland Avenue. In that case, police said the offender followed the victim and took her shopping bags and purse containing her phone and credit cards.
