A man who used a teen-focused social media app to lure underage girls into sexual encounters was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty in two Cook County cases.
Alejandro Porras, 28, entered guilty pleas to two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Judge Alfredo Maldonado and Judge Geraldine D’Souza each imposed concurrent sentences, according to court records. Porras is already serving a separate four-year sentence for sexually abusing a girl in Will County.
The Cook County cases center on two victims Porras allegedly met through Wizz, a social media platform marketed to teenagers.
In the first case, Chicago police were called to a Logan Square home on February 5, 2024, after a woman reported her 15-year-old daughter missing. While officers were taking the report, a vehicle door slammed outside. They looked up and saw the girl and Porras walking toward the house, according to a Chicago Police Department report. Officers said Porras gave multiple false birth years before admitting he was 25.

The girl told police she had met Porras on Wizz weeks earlier and had met him in person only two days earlier. On the night she disappeared, she said, the two went for a walk around 1 a.m. and ended up having sex in the bed of his pickup truck, which was parked across the street from her home. She said she believed Porras was 16 years old.
Her mother took her to Lurie Children’s Hospital for treatment. Police detained Porras at the scene, but prosecutors initially declined to file charges while DNA testing was pending. Lab results from the Illinois State Police Crime Lab later linked him to the case, and charges were filed last summer.
By that point, Porras was already sitting in the Cook County Jail on a separate case out of Calumet City involving a 13-year-old girl.
Prosecutors said that the girl also met Porras through Wizz shortly after finishing 8th grade. His profile allegedly listed his age as 15. In private messages, he claimed to be 19. The girl told him she was 14, though she was actually 13, prosecutors said.
On June 16, 2024, the girl told police she gave Porras the address to her grandmother’s home, where she was staying alone in a basement unit. Once inside, Porras allegedly had sex with her approximately five times in a single night. Prosecutors said the girl’s grandmother spotted Porras as he was being escorted out of the home. Both Porras and the girl claimed they were classmates.
Weeks after that encounter, police in north suburban Round Lake Park arrested Porras in yet another case, this one involving a 14-year-old girl. Officers executed a search warrant on his phone and found messages connecting him to the Calumet City victim, prosecutors said, which allowed Calumet City police to identify and link him to that case.
Illinois Department of Corrections records show that Porras is currently scheduled for parole in April 2027.
