CHICAGO — Area Three detectives have released clearer pictures of a man they believe tried to sexually assault a woman in the West Loop. They released a pretty blurry image of the guy last week, but two new photos released Wednesday are crystal clear.
Police think he attacked a 35-year-old victim as she walked north on Carpenter Street from Randolph Street around 5:24 a.m. on April 14. He approached her from behind, grabbed her by the waist, and put his hands over her mouth as he dragged her into an alley, the police said.
The woman fought back, biting his index finger, until he threw her to the ground and ran away. He was last seen heading east on Randolph Street. Police describe him as a 30- to 35-year-old Hispanic man with short hair. His jacket is white and green.
Information about the case can be shared with Area Three detectives at 312-744-8200. The case number is JH-224931.
