CHICAGO — A fight outside a West Loop restaurant and bar in December ended with a man being hospitalized with a serious eye injury. Now, Chicago police are trying to identify the person responsible for injuring the victim.

Area Three detectives released these surveillance images on Thursday morning and asked anyone who recognizes the man to call them.

Around 8:30 p.m. on December 15, police and fire personnel responded after 911 callers reported four or five people arguing, followed by calls of a man down outside PB&J, 205 North Peoria.

The man seen in the surveillance images approached the victim after an argument and began punching and kicking him while he was down, according to CPD’s new bulletin. EMS took the victim to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Police described the wanted man as Hispanic, 20 to 35 years old, 5’8″ to 5’11” tall, and 170 to 200 pounds. He had short hair, a mustache, and a beard. He was last seen wearing a tan hoodie over a white T-shirt, dark pants, and white and black shoes.
