CHICAGO — A female correctional officer at the federal prison in downtown Chicago has been charged with sexually abusing four female inmates at the prison during December 2023.

Brittany Hall, 31,  was employed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons and worked on a floor where female inmates are held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center-Chicago, 72 West Van Buren, according to a recently returned federal grand jury indictment. Hall’s duties involved supervision, care, enforcing rules, and “correctional treatment” of inmates.

The grand jury’s true bill accuses her of having sexual contact with one female inmate on December 4, 7, 11, and 31, 2023. Three of those encounters included explicit sexual behavior, according to the grand jury’s true bill.

Hall similarly abused another female inmate on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Hall allegedly targeted a third woman on December 29 and a fourth on December 29 and December 31.

She is charged with three counts of abusive sexual contact without permission and five counts of sex abuse of an adult ward in custody.
