Two women are facing federal charges for allegedly threatening and assaulting ICE agents during an immigration enforcement operation on the West Side over the weekend.

According to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court, Joshalin Rivera and Daishalie Urdiales confronted the agents around 11 a.m. Sunday in the 5500 block of West Jackson Boulevard.

Officers were arresting people inside an apartment when the woman approached the back stairway and began shouting at the agents, who were wearing police markings, the complaint said.

Officials said Rivera screamed threats at an agent, including, “I hope your kid dies a miserable death”; “Your f****** kid needs to get shot in the f****** face next, b****”; and “They lucky I ain’t got my s*** on me. I’d pop both of they a**.”

Moments later, prosecutors allege, Rivera threatened to “bust all their f windows.”

Shortly after that, an officer found the windows of his unmarked government vehicle smashed by a brick. When the agent asked who broke the windows, two witnesses pointed toward Rivera, the complaint said.

Urdiales allegedly jumped in as an agent tried to detain Riveraa, shoving him and yanking a loaded ammunition magazine from his vest, which she threw to the ground. Rivera, meanwhile, allegedly grabbed at the officer’s neck.

As the struggle continued, another agent attempted to detain Rivera. Prosecutors say she fought back, shoving the female officer and grabbing her vest “in the direction of her firearm.” Both women were eventually taken into custody.

In a recorded interview later that day, Urdiales denied threatening officers or physically resisting, claiming she was only trying to explain that others said Rivera was not responsible for throwing the brick, the complaints said. She also said her cellphone video would back her up.

Rivera and Urdiales are charged with assaulting a federal employee during the performance of official duties.
