Three people were arrested on Wednesday after allegedly stealing nearly $4,000 worth of merchandise from a Lululemon store in the West Loop, including a woman and a man who were already on pretrial release for a combined nine pending felony shoplifting cases in Cook County, according to court records.

Sheriff’s police allege that two women took items from the Lululemon store at 932 West Randolph around 10:20 a.m. and fled in a Mazda CX-5.

Organized Retail Crime officers, who were working with Lululemon on a retail theft suppression operation, tried to stop the vehicle, but it sped away, according to the sheriff’s office.

Officers found the car unoccupied in an alley behind the 200 block of Peoria Street with Lululemon merchandise visible inside, police said.

The police searched the area and found Jadea Seals, 20, near a dumpster in an alley in the 200 block of Green Street. They then found Tekiah White, 20, and Tyshun Williams, 22, hiding inside a dumpster, authorities said. All three were taken into custody.

Seals and White were charged with felony retail theft, according to the sheriff’s police. White was also processed on multiple warrants from Cook, DuPage, and McHenry counties. Williams was processed on warrants from DuPage County and Cook County.

White was on pretrial release for four additional felony retail theft cases in Cook County at the time of her latest arrest, according to records. She stopped showing up in court on December 9, prompting judges Anthony Calabrese, Laura Ayala-Gonzalez, and John Wellington to issue arrest warrants in various cases, records show. The sheriff’s office said she also had outstanding warrants in DuPage and McHenry counties.

Williams was on pretrial release for five additional felony retail theft cases in Cook County at the time of his arrest, according to records. He stopped appearing in court on December 15, resulting in warrants signed by judges Domenica Stephenson and Anjana Hansen, records show. He also had an active warrant out of DuPage County, the sheriff’s office said.

Seals was released pending trial while the others remain in jail on the outstanding warrants.
