Another woman reported being sexually attacked in the Lincoln Park neighborhood late Wednesday night, according to Chicago police. It is the third incident in the area since Friday, but police have yet to make a public connection between the attacks.
The most recent victim was walking on the 1800 block of North Burling at 10:36 p.m. yesterday when a man approached her from behind, grabbed her, and pushed her to the ground, police said. The offender then sexually abused the 26-year-old woman and fled the scene on foot.
Police said the attacker is a Hispanic man with a medium build who’s between 30- and 40-years-old. He stands 5’6” to 5’10” tall and wore a black baseball cap backward with a black t-shirt and black pants. He was last seen heading north on Burling after the attack.

• Two women were standing in an alley in the 2200 block of North Orchard around 4:30 a.m. Saturday when a man approached and shoved both of them to the ground, police said. He then sexually assaulted one of the women. The other woman was able to fight the man off by kicking him in the face, police said.
The offender is described as a white or Hispanic man in his late 20’s or early 30’s who stands about 5’6” tall, weighs 150 pounds, and has dark hair. He was last seen on a bicycle wearing a white t-shirt and shorts. Police said he may have cuts on his face.
Police later released an image of the offender on his bike.
• Police last Friday said a DePaul University student was “inappropriately touched” by an unknown man on the street. CPD and DePaul’s public safety office said the woman was walking with a friend around 1:45 a.m. near the corner of Sheffield and Montana, just north of Fullerton, when she was approached from behind by the man who proceeded to touch her. The offender then fled north from the scene, police said.
The offender was described as a man in his mid-20’s who stands about 5’10” tall and has a small build. He has black hair, could be Asian, and was reportedly wearing a gray sweatshirt and black shorts, police said.
Police are encouraging Lincoln Park residents to tell their neighbors about these incidents and to identify safe havens.
