Cops seek man who exposed himself to student near Lane Tech campus

Chicago police are looking for a man who exposed himself to a Lane Tech High School student on a grocery store parking lot near the school’s campus on Monday afternoon.

An 18-year-old girl told police that she was walking through the Jewel Osco parking lot at 3400 North Western when the man engaged her in a conversation from his vehicle around 12:40 p.m. During the conversation, the man exposed and touched himself inappropriately until the student yelled for help, police said.

The offender then drove out of the lot in his tan or gold four-door Honda and headed eastbound on Roscoe Street.

He is described as a white man with reddish hair and freckles who wore a black hat. The victim said he was “young looking” and is likely between 20- and 30-years-old.

The Jewel store, which is adjacent to the school’s campus, is a popular lunch choice for some students.
