Reward offered for Andersonville bank robber

The FBI is trying to find the man who robbed an Andersonville bank over the weekend.

A man walked into the First Third Bank at 5501 North Ashland and handed a note to a teller at 11:12 a.m. on Saturday, Feb 8. He fled after collecting an undetermined amount of cash.

The robber is a black male in his mid-20’s with a goatee who stands 5’5” to 5’7” tall and weighs about 190 pounds, according to the FBI. He wore a black hat, black hoodie, jeans, and black gloves.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered by the FBI for information that leads directly to the man’s arrest. Tips can be shared with the bureau’s Chicago office at 312-421-6700.
