A 23-year-old man was fatally stabbed late Friday following an argument inside Richard’s Bar, 491 North Milwaukee, in West Town. Witnesses detained the alleged offender for police.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Kenneth Paterimos of the Austin neighborhood.
A large pool of blood was seen outside the bar’s door. Police recovered a knife at the scene.
Police said Paterimos and the 30-year-old offender argued inside the bar before the two worked their way outside at 11:23 p.m. The offender then stabbed Paterimos in the back, neck, and arm, according to police.
An ambulance transported Paterimos to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:51 p.m., the medical examiner said.
Neither Paterimos nor the offender has previous contact with Chicago police, according to the department.
CWBChicago will post an update when charges are filed.
