Cops warn of robberies at North-Clybourn Red Line station and in Lincoln Park

Police issued a community alert late Friday night to warn about a pattern of robberies at the North-Clybourn Red Line station and in Lincoln Park. CWBChicago told you about two of the robberies earlier this week.

Detectives usually release community alerts when they believe an individual or group is responsible for a series of crimes.

The offender is taking the victims’ property by force at the train station and on the street, according to the alert. In one case, he displayed a knife. Police said the four robberies were reported:

  • in the 1500 block of North Clybourn on the evening of Mar. 13
  • in the 1500 block of North Clybourn on the evening of Mar. 24  (Story)
  • in the 2100 block of North Sedgwick on the morning of Mar. 25
  • in the 1500 block of North Clybourn early on Mar. 26 (Story)

The North-Clybourn Red Line station is located at 1599 North Clybourn.

According to the alert, the robber is a black male between 18- and 25-years-old who stands 5’8” tall, and weighs 170 pounds.
