A man and woman are in fair condition after both were stabbed during an altercation early Saturday on the Near North Side, police said. No one is in custody.
The victims, both age 20, were with a group of people that got into an argument with another group in the 800 block of North Dearborn at 12:08 a.m., according to CPD. At some point, a woman pulled out a knife and attacked the victims. The man was stabbed on his arm, and the woman was stabbed in her back, police said.
A firearm was also displayed during the altercation, but no shots were fired, according to a police report.
Both victims were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment. Neither has had previous contact with Chicago police, the department said.
Witnesses said the attacker was in a group of about 6 Black females and 4 Black males who fled northbound on Clark Street from Chicago Avenue.
Area Three detectives are investigating.
