Armed robbers committed three hold-ups in about 10 minutes Thursday night in Wicker Park, and the offenders fired a gun during one of the incidents, police said. Detectives released details of the crime spree in a community alert Sunday.

The robbers took the victims’ valuables while displaying a handgun on the 1700 block of West Lemoyne; the 1600 block of North Paulina; and the 1700 block of West North Avenue between 11 p.m. and 11:10 p.m., according to police.

Detectives said the offenders fired a handgun during one robbery, striking the victim’s car. But police did not say which incident involved the gunfire.

Police said the robbers are two Black males who stand 6-feet to 6’4” tall and weigh 200 to 250 pounds. They had black hair or shaved heads and fled in a silver four-door vehicle, according to the CPD alert.

Anyone with information about the robberies can contact Area Five detectives at 312-746-7394 regarding crime pattern P20-5-035.
