FBI looking for man who robbed Rogers Park bank

The FBI said this man robbed Byline Bank, 6945 North Clark, on March 20, 2024 (FBI)

CHICAGO — The FBI is looking for a man who robbed a Byline Bank in Rogers Park on Wednesday morning.

The robber, wearing a green hoodie and cloth mask, entered the branch at 6945 North Clark around 10:30 a.m. According to the FBI, he demanded money verbally but did not display a note or a weapon. The agency said he left the area on foot after the holdup.

In a bulletin sent to media outlets with images of the suspect, the FBI said the robber is in his 40s or 50s and stands about 6 feet tall. The robber strongly resembles a serial bank robber who targeted four North Side bank branches between Halloween and January 6. However, the FBI has not yet publicly linked Wednesday’s robbery with the earlier cases.

Tips can be shared with the FBI at 312-421-6700 or online at tips.fbi.gov.
