A man followed two boys through a Portage Park discount store and into a restroom, where he sexually abused one of the children before the boys were able to get away, according to a community alert issued by Chicago police.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. on May 29 inside DD’s Discounts, 3925 North Cicero Avenue, in the Six Corners area, police said.

According to the alert, two boys were shopping in the store when the man began following them. Police said the man continued trailing the boys into a restroom, where he allegedly engaged in sexually inappropriate conduct while one child was inside a stall and then touched the other minor inappropriately.

The boys were able to leave the restroom when another person entered, according to the alert.

The suspect is described as a White male between 25 and 30 years old with short black hair and weighing between 180 and 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing glasses, large headphones, a gray or white T-shirt, black shorts, and black gym shoes.
