A 32-year-old Woodridge man has been ordered detained pending trial after prosecutors said he sexually abused a 15-year-old boy he met on Snapchat and brought to his apartment.

Christian Suarez Isoldi, 32, faces four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and will remain detained by order of Judge Joshua Dieden, according to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office.

A friend of the 15-year-old boy contacted Woodridge police shortly before 12:40 a.m. on Thursday after the teen allegedly told him he was at a man’s apartment and engaging in sexual activity, the state’s attorney’s office said. The police investigation led officers to an apartment complex where they knocked on a door. Suarez Isoldi and another adult let them inside. Investigators allegedly found the boy in a bedroom closet and then took Suarez Isoldi into custody.

According to the allegations, Suarez Isoldi connected with the boy on Snapchat on Wednesday. After the boy snuck out of his home, Suarez Isoldi picked him up near his house and drove him to his apartment, where he sexually abused the boy, the state’s attorney’s office said.

“These allegations are extremely disturbing and will be met with the full force of the law,” DuPage County State’s Attorney Bob Berlin said. “While social media apps are frequently used by millions of people every day, I remind everyone, particularly parents of young children, that these apps are misused every day as well and to please keep a watchful eye on your children’s social media usage.”
