Police said a man beat, robbed, and sexually assaulted a woman as they rode a Red Line train near the Morse station on Thursday morning.

Michael Jackson of Rogers Park is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, but murder charges have not been filed in connection with the fatal shooting of Macksantino Webb inside the Howard CTA station.

Three years ago, the 20-year-old man who was shot dead at the Howard Red Line station on Tuesday afternoon made an appearance in the Chicago Sun-Times.Then 17, Macksantino Webb was “just trying to survive a summer” as the city’s murder rate soared the paper said.

A gunman fatally shot a 20-year-old man inside the Howard CTA station, Chicago police said. Police detained a suspect at a nearby grocery store.

Wilma Maxey told police she pushed the victim from a CTA platform in Rogers Park because she was having a bad day.
