A convicted violent felon, on parole for just six weeks, has been charged in connection with three armed robberies reported last night in Lakeview, Lincoln Park, and North Center. 26-year-old Jonathan Alvarado of the 2900 block of N Naragansett in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood is charged with three counts of robbery with a firearm and

A brazen prowler felt so comfortable during his burglary of a Boystown hair salon early Monday morning, he actually took the time and effort to tear down a wall so he could burglarize the restaurant next door, too. In addition to the double-burglary, at least three other local businesses fell victim to thieves on Monday.

The folks living near—or even two miles away from—Wrigley Field who’ve noticed a significant increase in noise since a new sound system was installed this spring will probably find this interesting. 44th Ward Alderman Tom Tunney does not like noise when it’s near his high rise condo at Lake Shore Drive and Diversey. 19th district

At least one offender is in custody after an attempted robbery at the Sam Adams Lakeview Taco Fest yesterday afternoon.
